While listening to a voicemail on your iPhone, you have the ability to save it. This article will describe how to save voicemails from iPhone as individual files.

How to Save Voicemails from iPhone

Refer to the steps below to learn how to save a voicemail message from the “Phone” application to another area of your iPhone.

Step 1: Press the home button at the bottom of your iPhone to go to your main homescreen.
Step 2: Tap on the green icon labeled “Phone” to launch the phone application.
Step 3: Tap on the “Voicemail” tab at the bottom of the screen next to “Keypad.” The iPhone will now display a list of all current voicemail messages that exist in your cellular carrier account.
Step 4: Tap on the row of the voicemail message that you want to save. At this point, the details of the message will appear, and you can click the play button to listen to the full content of the voicemail.
Step 5: Click on the blue “Share” button that appears to the right of the caller’s name or number. The “Share” button is designated with a box and an upward arrow.
Step 6: Tap on the “Save to Files” button in the “Share” menu that appears. This will export the content of the voicemail message into the “Files” application on your iPhone. Alternatively, you can use the “Add to Notes” or “Voice Memos” options to export the voicemail message to one of those applications directly.

Saving a voicemail from your iPhone will not modify the original message that appears in the “Phone” application. You can manually delete the voicemail from your cellular carrier account by clicking the red “Delete” button. Apple describes all of the available Visual Voicemail features on their Support website. Feel free to ask questions as you save iPhone voicemails into different places in your phone.
