The iPhone’s clock application can handle setting up multiple alarms, to ring at different times during the day. Within the app’s settings, you have the ability to choose what sound or ringtone is played when the alarm goes off. If you want to differentiate between alarms, here’s how to change alarm sound on iPhone devices.

How to Change Alarm Sound on iPhone

Follow these steps to learn how to change the alarm sound on your iPhone.

Step 1: Press the home button at the bottom of your iPhone to go to your homescreen.
Step 2: Find the “Clock” icon on your homescreen, and tap on it to load the application.
Step 3: Go to the “Alarm” tab at the bottom of the screen.
Step 4: Tap on the “Edit” button in the upper-left corner to modify your current alarm settings.
Step 5: Tap on the alarm for which you want to change the sound. (Note that each iPhone alarm can be set to a different sound.)
Step 6: Select the “Sound” row from the list of options.
Step 7: Tap the name of a tone to hear a sample of it. You can choose from Apple’s pre-loaded set of sounds or any custom ringtones you have downloaded on your iPhone.
Step 8: Tap the “Back” button in the upper-left corner of the screen after you have picked your desired alarm sound. A checkmark should appear next to the name of the tone.
Step 9: Tap the “Save” button in the upper-right corner of the screen to officially change the alarm’s configuration. Otherwise, the sound setting will not take effect.
Step 10: Ensure that the slider bar next to the alarm time is in the green “On” position. This means that the alarm is activated.
