Twitter’s been around for 10 years now. There’s a good chance if you’ve been on the social networking site for a long time, you may have outgrown your handle. If you need to make a change to your moniker to keep up with your personal or professional life, here’s how to do a Twitter name change into one you’ll be happy with.
How to Change Your Twitter Name on PC
Changing your handle isn’t difficult at all. It can be done in 5-10 minutes.
Go to Twitter.
Login with your username and password.
Click on the tiny version of your profile pic at the top right of your screen. If you don’t have a pic, it will be the classic egg symbol.
A menu will pop up. Choose Settings.
Find the Account heading and look for the username field.
Replace your current username with a new username. If your new username is taken, you will be prompted to try again.
Scroll down to the bottom and click on Save Changes.
In order to finalize the change, you will be prompted to verify your password.
Check to make sure that the change was processed correctly.

Press the “Profile” button.
You should see an “Edit profile” button in the right side of your display. Tap it once again.
You can now modify the Twitter name into the “Name” field.
Press the save button and you’re good to go!
Most people outgrow their email and social media handles over time. A lot of people are unhappy with profiles but just don’t know how to change the Twitter name. Be sure to send out a Tweet to your followers immediately after completing the change alerting them to your new name. This will minimize the risk of losing followers, which is a good idea especially if you have invested a lot of time and resources in attracting followers for your business.
