The Snapchat social messaging application allows users to link either an email address or a cell phone number to their account. If you are having trouble logging into Snapchat, and need to reset your password, you can complete the whole process through text messaging, without having to use an email address to recover your password. The following instructions show how to reset Snapchat password without email.
How to Reset Snapchat Password Without Email
Follow the steps below to reset your Snapchat password from your smartphone, without using an email address:
Step 1: Open the Snapchat application on your smartphone. The login page should appear, prompting you to enter your username and password.
Step 2: Tap on the button labeled “Forgot your password?” at the bottom of the screen. A new window will open, allowing you to choose which method to use to reset your Snapchat password, either over email or text message.
Step 3: Tap the “via SMS” option to begin the password reset process without using email.
Step 4: Wait for an automated text message to be sent to your cell phone. This message will contain a verification code.
Step 5: Copy the verification code from the text message, switch back to the Snapchat application, and enter it in the empty text field.
Step 6: Click the “Continue” button to validate the verification code you have entered.
Step 7: Choose a new password to associate with your Snapchat account. You will be automatically logged back into the Snapchat application.
Note that only one cell phone number can be associated with a Snapchat account, and this number must be verified through the application before you can use it for password recovery.
